Summer Term 2025:

Summer terms differ from our regular terms, they are a stand alone term. Regular term time students are not given first refusal of spaces to allow a break in the year for them, and our schedule changes as summer holiday travel plans and children off school affect tutor availability.

Summer term allows students who are not already attending our regular term classes the opportunity to secure a place for a summer period to get started. From here there may be a space that comes up for the September term to enrol onto and continue or if not weekend classes to take part in while awaiting a regular term space.

In September we revert back to our normal schedule and our existing students return to their normal term spaces if they have chosen to maintain their space.

Should a space be available on the regular term time classes they will be offered to those on our waiting list, please email us at hello@workshop925.com or join using the form above, if you would like to be on our waiting list. We try to run a wide range of classes to give everyone the opportunity to join our term time classes.

Rebooking for next term...

Rebooking for next term...

Once you secure your term time space, it remains your space on a first refusal basis.

We will send you an invoice through our Xero accounting software to confirm your term time space for the following term. The email invoice will confirm your term time session date and time and provide a link for you to pay online.

If you prefer, you are still able to pay for your term classes within the workshop using our card machine, or by using the rebooking link on the website. Please make sure you pay by the due date so we know to still reserve your space. This is usually 10-14 days before the next term commences.

If you can no longer attend your term time classes, please let us know as soon as possible so we can release your space to the term time waiting list.

Rebook through the website...

If you are currently enrolled on one of our term time evening or morning classes (NOT INCLUDING SUMMER TERM), you can re book you next 5/6/7 week term here.

If you wish to change the day you attend please speak to your tutor first before re-booking so we can allocate a space.

If you are happy with the current day and time of your session, please feel free to book online here. We will know what session you are booking onto.

Making Up Missed Classes...

Making Up Missed Classes...

It is likely from time to time you will miss some term classes due to family or work commitments. With this being the case, we allow you to make up one missed class per term.

Each session runs with one spare bench space to allow us to offer students the chance to attend a catch up class.

These catch ups are to be arranged in class face to face with your tutor, not via email or WhatsApp as the registers are constantly changing and out of class tutors have work commitments and cannot conduct admin tasks. Please make sure you can attend your catch up as we can't offer another catch up if you can no longer attend. Catch ups cannot be carried over to another term.

We can't guarantee a catch up that fits your schedule, we offer catch ups to try our best to help.

Term Time Facebook Group

Term Time Facebook Group

We have a term time Facebook group for students to share jewellery tips and news or sell tools to each other.

This is also a good space to advertise any classes you can't attend. While you will have one catch up per term, if you know you are going to miss more one term, you can sell those spaces directly to other students who might want a little extra workshop time. This is the space you can arrange it amongst yourselves.

Competition

Competition

Each term we set a competition theme, this will be with a focus on a particular technique or design.

Competitions are not compulsory for any term timer, they just provide a way in which to introduce new methods and techniques to students and the opportunity to try something completely new to help develop new skills.

Some students many not have something specific they are working on and enjoy the direction a competition theme brings. Others may be focussed on another technique or project theme and choose not to take part due to this. This is absolutely fine, your term time is your term time and you are able to direct your path.

The competition winner receives 50% off their next term time fee. All entries are placed on our Workshop 925 Facebook page for public vote. Term time tutors will also cast their vote. The entry with the most votes is classed as the winner.

Tutors

Tutors

Our team of tutors are Krista Thomson, Sarah Reece, Ela Good, Amy Hubbard and Kirsten Hendrich.

From time to time you will meet other tutors on catch up sessions and if a tutor is away on leave and another covers.

Each tutor has a different approach and might give different advice on how to tackle a project. This is the rich tapestry of jewellery making, there is not just one way to do things!

It is really good to hear and try other approaches as it will give you even more tips and tricks to utilise in your work. Some you will try and discover and whole new method which will resinate with you; others might not be your preferred approach. It is amazing to have access to different teaching minds under one roof and a huge benefit, soak up all the advice possible and carve your own path. As tutors we always share advice between us and constantly learn and develop.

Get Inspired

Get Inspired

We have put together a series of Pinterest boards to help you develop project ideas for your term time classes.

We do not encourage students to copy designers work as time is spent developing unique designs, however it is an excellent resource to discover new techniques and how techniques can be utilised and married together.

Each board shows a series of techniques which can be worked towards within the workshop with the tools and equipment in place to support you, alongside tutor expertise.

If you are new to us, here is our beginners board.
